FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. What does an endurance coach do for me?
An endurance coach provides a whole lot more than a training plan. At Triforia, coaching means working with a real person who understands your goals, lifestyle and constraints and through regular feedback will adapt your training on an ongoing basis. Unlike fixed online plans or AI-generated schedules, your training will evolve in response to how you’re actually feeling, performing and recovering, helping you stay consistent, avoid injury and make meaningful progress over time.
2. Who is endurance coaching best suited for?
Endurance coaching is ideal for runners and triathletes who want clarity, structure and confidence in their training. Triforia works particularly well for people balancing training with work, family and other commitments, for anyone returning from injury and for those preparing for specific goals such as marathons, triathlons or Ironman events who want progress without risking burnout or worse still, injury.
3. Can you really coach triathlon and running events remotely?
Absolutely. Triforia specialises in remote coaching by using TrainingPeaks, an online training hub accessible via web, mobile or desktop which syncs with your fitness device(s), allowing workouts to be downloaded to Garmin, Polar, Zwift, Wahoo, Apple Watch and more. This approach is used successfully by both amateur and professional athletes wherever they live as it allows them to receive fully personalised training plans, ongoing feedback and regular adjustments, without the need for regular in-person sessions
4. Do you offer swimming, cycling and running coaching in Oxfordshire?
Yes. Triforia is based in Oxfordshire and works with athletes locally and across the UK. Coaching is primarily delivered remotely, but where appropriate, one-to-one (or small group) swim, bike and run sessions can be arranged for athletes who are based locally or are willing to travel.
5. How personalised is the coaching?
All coaching at Triforia is fully personalised. Training plans are built around your goals, experience, lifestyle, available training time and recovery needs. Plans are adjusted regularly based on feedback, performance data and how you’re responding to training. We are all different so plans that are generic simply don’t work.
6. Do I need a certain level of fitness to start?
No. Triforia works with athletes of all abilities, from those new to running or triathlon through to experienced endurance athletes. The coaching process starts from where you are now and progresses at a pace that supports consistency, confidence and long-term health.
7. How does strength training fit into endurance coaching?
Strength training at Triforia focuses on developing the specific strength and movement patterns required for swimming, cycling and running. This approach develops efficiency, builds resilience and minimises the risk of injury across all three disciplines. Programmes are designed to complement endurance training rather than compete with it and are adapted to your experience, goals and available time.
8. How do I get started with Triforia?
Getting started is simple. Begin with an initial conversation to discuss your goals, background and availability to train. You will then be invited to complete an Onboarding questionnaire. From there, a personalised training plan is created and delivered through TrainingPeaks. From that moment onwards you will be provided with ongoing coaching support to guide you through every step of your training journey.
