YOUR COACH'S COMMITMENT TO YOU

Confidentiality

All Client information will be kept strictly private and confidential in accordance with GDPR regulations and our Privacy Policy (see website). Your personal details and medical information will not be made available to 3rd parties without your permission

Recommendations

Using judgment, experience and knowledge, I will (as Coach) design a program of exercise for you (as Client) that will take into account your personal goals, fitness levels, limitations and exercise preferences.

I may also offer lifestyle advice and industry insights that I believe will help you achieve your personal goals.

As Coach I will regularly monitor your progress and the program will be revised and adjusted accordingly. All alterations will be subject to Client and Coach agreement

Referral

I intend to work with you within the scope of my knowledge and competencies as a British Triathlon Level 2 Coach. Should I believe it is in your best interests to see another health professional, I will refer you appropriately.

CLIENT'S RESPONSIBILITIES

Disclosure of information

All Clients will need to sign a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PARQ) prior to commencing a programme. Please disclose all relevant health information and keep me updated and informed of any changes to your health status. This includes all medical conditions; physical and mental, injuries, allergies, and medication you are taking. If necessary, you may need to seek clearance from your doctor before participation in the exercise programme I recommend.

Fitness Testing

To enable the Coach to assign safe but challenging training zones, Clients will be asked to complete a threshold test at the outset (first few weeks of the plan) and potentially intermittently thereafter. It is your responsibility to perform these within your capabilities and to consult with the Coach beforehand should you have any concerns regarding their safe execution.

Accepting potential risks

It is the responsibility of the Client when conducting sessions prescribed within the Training Plan that they do them safely and in the correct format. If there are doubts or questions relating to any part of the training plan the Client should consult with the Coach beforehand to ensure the risk is managed and minimised. It is vitally important to select safe training venues, to wear appropriate clothing and to use approved equipment that is in good working order

Whilst for most people exercise is hugely positive with many health benefits, it is not entirely risk free. For this reason, all Clients will need to sign a PARQ prior to commencing an exercise programme

Communication and Commitment

While your Coach will give you the tools and encouragement to reach your goals, ultimately you will need to assume responsibility for making the required changes. We can best help you with this process if you keep us fully informed of any issues that arise. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us
